The beauty of spanking is that if done right, it can smoulder for hours, even though the smacking itself might only last a matter of minutes. Once ignited, the burning sensation lingers, spreading and throbbing, until it occupies the mind, and dominates the senses.

Glowing, smouldering, simmering, burning, blazing.

We talk of spanked bottoms using the language of fire.

But have you ever wondered why spankings feel hot? Why not itchy, or tickly, or achy and numbingly cold, like falling on your backside onto a patch of ice?

The pleasures of spanking are the result of sophisticated molecular interactions that we’re only beginning to understand. Did you know the 2021 Nobel Prize for Medicine was essentially awarded for explaining why spanked bottoms feel hot? Deep within our cells, some fascinating stories are waiting to be told.
